Screening at Midtown Cinema and Post Screening Discussion

Visit Albert Bloch’s painting Duell at The Modernists exhibition at the museum and then join us at Midtown Cinema for a featured screening of the documentary AB: The Life and Work of Albert Bloch. A Missouri born artist, Albert Bloch (1882-1961), was the only American represented in Der Blaue Reiter—a group of German Expressionist artists that included Wassily Kandinsky, Franz Marc, and Paul Klee. AB chronicles the life of this important artist and asks questions about his life and practice. This screening will be followed by a conversation with the director Timothy De Paepe.

There is an option to watch the documentary at home and join the conversation online for the Post Screening Discussion on Midtown Cinema’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Limited space available. For more information on how to purchase tickets or receive a link to view the documentary at home, please email tsell@susquehannaartmuseum.org.
