Plan your stay in Harrisburg.
Group tours must be scheduled in advance to ensure that a trained docent or staff member is available to provide a customized visit to our current exhibitions.
- During standard museum hours, there is a $35 reservation fee to book a tour for your group and a $5 admission fee for each adult in attendance.
- Outside of standard museum hours, there is a $100 reservation fee to book a customized hour-long tour for your group of up to 12 attendees. For additional attendees, there is an $8 admission fee for each adult.
Prices can vary based on the duration of your visit, and the date requested. Contact SAM staff at [email protected] to customize a special tour for your group!
We ask that group organizers inform the museum of your planned arrival time, even if you do not wish to have a tour. For the safety of the artwork and to optimize the experience of all our visitors, the museum would prefer to schedule all group visits.
Approximately three to four times a year, the Lehr Gallery will be closed for the installation of new exhibitions. Please check our calendar to ensure that the Lehr Gallery is not closed during your visit.

Third in the Burg
During Third in the Burg (the third Friday of the month), Susquehanna Art Museum is open free of admission from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Visit exhibitions on view in the galleries, browse the gift shop, and meet friends in Midtown! Third in the Burg is the perfect opportunity to take a fresh look at art and begin a dialogue about it with a fellow visitor.
