NIGHTFALL
Dōshi Gallery Juried Exhibition
The Dōshi Gallery Juried Exhibition, NIGHTFALL, asked artists to delve into the concept of oncoming night, whether metaphorically or through medium and technique. One may equate the twilight hours with rest and comfort, while others may anticipate the excitement of nightlife. Many also view fleeting light with apprehension and fear. Throughout history, artists have used various techniques and media to explore the nuance between the light/dark binary and to compel viewers to consider what the absence of light conjured, or what stark illumination reveals.
