Virtual Workshop for Advanced, Young Artists and Teens

Do you know a young artist who wishes that they were able to choose what they get to make and do in their art classes?  We are introducing a new virtual 8-session workshop for artists (10 years old and up) who are looking for personalized instruction and more complex challenges!

Attendees will not be considered students. Instead, they will be co-creators with other young artists and a local designer and art teacher, Sarah Steinhauer. Each co-creator will work individually and as a group, diving deep into favorite ways of making art, and learning some cool new skills along the way.

We can’t wait to meet you and build a new creative community! This workshop includes 8 90-minute online sessions customized by instructor Sarah Steinhauer to suit the attendees. The fee for the workshop is $80.  Sarah will provide a list of suggested supplies that can be used during the workshop. However, she will also provide alternate suggestions for making or upcycling materials. For example, these are two great resources for finding upcycled art supplies: 1) in Ephrata called Art of Recycle – Community Art Center, Nonprofit, Teacher Resources | Art of Recycle, and 2) in Hanover called Little Art Bank – Art Supply Store, Arts and Crafts, Workshops. *It is not mandatory for students to purchase new art supplies to participate in this workshop.

Interested parents, please email tsell@susquehannaartmuseum.org for more information. Sarah intends to contact interested parents via survey to customize the most convenient schedule for the 8 online sessions.
