Foundations of Drawing

Foundations of Drawing

This course is designed to develop fundamental drawing skills with a focus on training the hand and the eye to work together to produce a piece of art. Students will learn techniques such as composition, shading, and other various drawing methods. In this month’s class, participants will learn material techniques to use graphite and charcoal to render a still life from observation.

Graphite and charcoal will be the primary materials for this class. Graphite pencils, charcoal,  and paper will be provided, but bringing your favorite drawing tools is encouraged!
